• Question: Will the ice age ever come back?

      It’s possible. There has been more than one ice age in the past, so it seems reasonable to expect there might be an ice age again. I doubt it would be within out lifetimes though. One thing to consider is that we have unprecedented *warm* temperatures right now through our own fault (see https://xkcd.com/1732/ for scale) – so this time it might be different from previous ice age / warming cycles.

      I completely agree with Yo’s answer – especially the xkcd link 😉 I’m sure there’ll be another ice age at some point – we actually only finished the last one quite recently, in geological terms – but whether the next one will be as far away as normal is hard to say since we’ve messed up our climate so much. If you believe the scientific accuracy of the film The Day After Tomorrow (which you probably shouldn’t) then we might accidentally bring on a sudden mini Ice Age pretty soon – I wouldn’t bet on it though!
