The most common element? Hmmmmmm. Well, I spend most of my time working on computers, writing computer code to help biologists find interesting genes and proteins for their experiments. Computers are made of a *lot* of metal – copper, aluminium, gold, zinc, magnesium, nickel, phosphorous, silicon… there are a lot of other rare things that make up computers, too! I’m not sure about the ratios though, and which is the *most* common from among them all.
