Question: what what materials are you using to make the machines

The machines we make are made of a wide variety of materials. Which material we use is dependent on the specific job that each part of the machine is doing. Sometimes we have to use special plastics, particularly because we measure airborne chemical molecules, and many plastic materials generate some chemicals that can affect the measurement of the chemicals we are interested in.

When we are making prototype versions of the machines, we often 3d print components – this is much quicker than making those parts in other ways.
